Which language should I learn if living in Bern?

• I'm an Australian married to a Swiss man and we are contemplating living in Bern. My husband is originally from Geneva. I know a little French but no German. I have always worked and I'm keen to find work in Switzerland after learning a language but the question is German or French..can you advise?

  The official language in Bern is German as it is part of Switzerland where this is the predominant language.
