changing jobs

• hi,
  I entered Switzerland with a L permit in Oct 2002. About five months ago, I got a B permit from the same employer. However, I have been made redundant and had to leave my job on Jan 31 2005.
  Now, I found another job and had gone to the authorities with all the necessary documents, including my new work contract etc. The authorities said they will respond to my new employer soon.
  My question - what are the chances of getting the permit? I am a non-EU and my permit expires in July 2005.

• No easy answer

  As far as I know, your new permit will depend on the type of job you got. Don't know if your old permit will increase your chances, in theory, it won't. There's probably not much you can do but just wait and see.
