Aussies in Dubai?

  Hi Steve, I arrived in Dubai 4 weeks ago from Sydney... I came to join my hubby and before I came I heard there were about 20k aussies residing here... thinking about it I really dont think that number meant only Dubai but the UAE, so far I have met 3 aussies through work...all architects or engineers, busy people with very busy lifes... I found Dubai quite interesting but many times pretty boring... I have heard of some bar where aussies and europeans hang out, I guess that will be the best place to find out if there are really many aussies out here. Cheers!

  very true what you said. there is no dignity of labor in dubai. yes salaries and perks are good but there is no such thing as work life benefit. i guess it depends based on your job but overall i'd say it can get pretty boring. the loud and crazy nightlife is only bearable so much.

  I'd say there are well over 20,000 aussias in the UAE! I have many Aussie friends all over the country.
