• How are they generally accepted? Is it true you can't give birth in Dubai unless you are married?

  How would they stop a woman giving birth?
  If a girl and boy did this I suppose they would be made to marry well before the birth.

  Having attended school in Dubai in my teens, I am now a single mum with extensive secretarial/PA experience predominantly in the financial and legal sectors attempting to relocate to Dubai. I have been researching both accommodation costs and creche fees and while creche fees compare quite favourably to Ireland, accommodation seems quite expensive. Is all accommodation paid up annually as opposed to monthly? Any feedback/advice would be gratefully received.

  There are single mums in Dubai, divorced with kids to raise, however, getting pregnant in Dubai without being married, you get punished by the law after the child's birth. The law is the law and we have to respect it or live elsewhere.

  this is a sheikdom, not a democracy. further, this is a traditional arabic/islamic nation that is very strict. be very careful -i just hope it is not too late for you?
