  i was just wondering if i can still look for a job in uae on january2009 using my tourist visa. i heard if i will look for a job in uae using that tourist visa, the company cannot give me en employment visa because the rules have been changed starting 2009. how true is that?

  I used to be a visit visa holder and found a company who will finally give me an employment visa to work legally in Dubai. The company and i both agreed that instead of going to kish, I'd better go back to my country to change my visa and wait for them to send my employment visa through email. Now i'm currently here in the Philippines, waiting for the updates about the visa. But i am not receiving any updates from them. I'm concerned since I did not get my appointment papers before I left. They're just telling me to keep on waiting. Is there a way for me to check the status of my visa? And from which website can i can check my visa?

I was informed that I also need to go back to my place of origin to wait for my working visa and like Allan, I was also not able to sign my appointment papers since my visit visa already expired. • Accomodation in Dubai

  I have been in dubai for last month and found the accomodation part is very very bad in Dubai.
  
  One small room will be shared by 7-15 persons and very very small bathroom will be shared among 2 room members with timings i.e more than 20-30 people and you have to pay 700-1200 dhirams per month as room rent, I strongly suggest Dubai is not suitable for highly educated persons untill your salary is atleast 12000 dhirams per month
  
  You have to check accomodation part strictly else you have to live like animal in small room
  
  People are surviving and earning in dubai with a similar manner as they will not have any alternatives in their own countries
  
  To conclude Dubai is not good for accomodation if your salary is less, Check for other countries

  Hi !.
  Normally it takes 5-10 working days for getting out a employment visa eventhough in some cases it varies depending upon the sponsor position in uae.If your sponsor is having good relation in the kingdom he may be given the visa within 2 days also. So all depends upon the soponsor and pro in some cases pro's are very lazy and they should be reminded occassionaly for the faster co-ordination.
