I have completed the BSc honours degree in Agriculture at Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. This is a four-year full time course covering different aspects of agriculture such as animal science, crop science, soil science, food science, agriculture engineering, economics, extension, biology and bio technology.

After the completion of the course, I joint Audio Visual Centre of the Department of Agriculture (DOA) as Research Assistant for an ICT based Agriculture technology transfer project to support rural development through agriculture development. Then, I have been appointed as a Programme Assistant since August 2005 and continued to serve as collaborative scientist / team leader of the project.

During this period I have successfully completed various tasks such as planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project, report writing, financial management to ensure the expenditures are according to the budget, production of various media materials for field training. In addition, I have engaged in training field level extension officers on related disciplines to support their field activities.

I am the team leader of the IMM CD-ROM production team which comprises of nearly 20 technical staff and computer graphic designers. I have contributed as an executive producer (Instructional Systems Designer) to produce and publish 38 Interactive Multimedia CD-ROMs on various Agriculture disciplines and which are used as e-learning materials in grass root level extension offices known as Cyber Extension Units. In addition, I have a fair experience in designing desktop publishing materials used in technology transfer in Agriculture by the DOA.

Since I have nearly six years of working experience, I am well organized in my work and able to perform well even under minimum supervision. And, I am a good learner from the experience I gained. Further, I would like to notice you that I am able to communicate in English, Tamil and Sinhala languages and open for any geographic location for a right career.
