Lets be grateful...

  • I am an Indian expat, new in Kuwait.. I am very grateful to this country for giving me an opportunity to earn a living and support my family.
Yes, this place has numerous problems. Problems like arrogance and lack of respect for the dark skinned are rampant. But I am told things have significantly changed over the last few years. Give it time and with the younger Kuwaitis getting educated and world exposure with their travels, things will indeed change for the better. Kuwait cannot live in isolation, it will have to join the mainstream. It may not be expat friendly as a Dubai is. But from my few months here I can easily say things are fine enough for me to stay back here by choice.

In all fairness, its been from the camel's back to a Porche overnite.. that itself means the Kuwaiti is going through a state of flux.. a learning curve.. give them time and they will mould themselves as fine world citizens.... ..a bit extreme but Rome was not built in a day...
