Fiance has a work permit for the uk and we want to be together

  • Hi, im an Australian citizen and I’m hoping to get approval to move to the uk for a short period of time, probably 1-2 years.

My fiancé has been offered a job on a 6 month contract and is relocating in the next few weeks. We want to find a way that i can go with him. i want to be able to work.

We have been thinking of applying for a working holiday maker visa but we are not sure if that is the best option. Is it possible for me to get around needing the $5000 for the working holiday visa if we supply a supporting document saying he is willing to support me until I find work? He is going to be on a high salary and supporting me until I find work is not going to be a problem. I’m currently working as a research assistant at a biotech company and I know there are plenty of medical research positions available in the uk so I’m not worried about finding work.

We are most defiantly coming back to Australia to settle down within 12months.

    Thanks in advance
