Bilingualism as a competitive advantage

At Kennedy International School, students are taught in an international and multilingual environment through a balanced approach to develop linguistic and academic skills.

Students in preschool follow a bilingual French-English or Japanese-English curriculum. Preschool students who do not have any prior French and/or English language knowledge are welcome to enroll, as the school offers specialized English as a Second Language and French as a Foreign Language classes.

In grades 1-8, students follow a bilingual French-English curriculum and working knowledge in both languages is essential.

In grades 9-10, students can choose to pursue the International Track or the bilingual French-English Track based on their preference. In grades 11-12, students pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme by choosing between the bilingual French-English Track and the English Track.

Academic excellence

The school offers a competitive academic structure that leads to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma qualification in grades 11-12, which is recognized by the world’s leading universities. The school combines small classes and individual attention from highly-qualified teachers to develop each student’s abilities to the fullest.

International and domestic opportunities

With its curriculum accredited by both the French Ministry of Education and New York State Education Department, students are well-equipped to transfer to schools in other states/countries seamlessly should their living arrangements change. This is a huge benefit in an increasingly globally connected world.
