Depends on what's wrong with you and where you are. The quality of care is generally pretty good, but some towns/cities have lousy hospitals. However, for serious operations the NHS will provide good care (sometimes it will even be the same surgeon operating if you go private).
If you have something seriously wrong, then the best thing to do is get a referral to a specialist under the NHS and see what the situation is. If you are told it may take a long time to get it fixed, then think about going private.Anonymous 02 Jul 2005, 05:48 - Report
